Camera and Print Information

Cameras
For most of my landscape work I use a Wista 4x5 large format film camera. For my purposes this camera and Fuji Velvia or Provia film provides the detail and color that I like to convey in my images. For closeup up and abstract work I still rely on my Nikon 35mm cameras and great Nikon lenses, again using the great Fuji film.

Print Information
I use a Giclee´ printing process to produce my prints. I scan my film transparencies to produce a digital file. I then do “darkroom” work on computer using Adobe Photoshop. The files are then sent to an Epson 7600 wide format printer for final output. The Epson printer, using pigmented ink and specialized paper combinations
produce wonderful vibrant, nuanced color and detail at all image sizes. The prints are also noted for their superior fade resistant properties. Independent research laboratories have confirmed that prints produced using this Epson printer, ink, and paper combinations have yielded far greater archival properties than
traditional fine art photographic prints.
